Do you remember the movie, Endless Summer? (Not to be confused with Endless Scooter, for those of you who are fans of R&A).
Well, we have Endless Winter. No kidding. Yesterday was not a good day. Cold, dark, and to top it off, it snowed!
Then to make things even worse, THE University of Dayton lost to Kansas in the Elite Eight. I’m not a big college basketball fan, but it was very exciting to see Dayton, a relatively small school with a relatively short team, beat Syracuse and Stanford and, wait for it . . . The Ohio State University, which my alma mater, Antioch, also beat in 1906. But beating the number 1 team in the country was just too much to expect. Although I had hope.
And speaking of hope, my thinking winter was over was also too much to expect. Even today, it is still cold enough to have some of the snow remaining on the bushes on the north side of the house. This has truly been endless winter!
Needing to cheer myself up, I looked through some of my photos for things that could put a smile on my face. For all of you who are also in Endless Winter, here’s some good cheer.
P.S. For those who want to know about what was what from the last post:
Numbers 2, 3, 4 are American; numbers 1 and 5 are French. Congratulations to all; sorry Len.
