At the risk of sounding frivolous, I need to ask the question, “How come I can’t find a comfortable purse?”
I know EXACTLY what I want. A lightweight, crossover bag, with at least one outside pocket.
And the strap can’t be thick. That’s where things get VERY difficult. The thick strap on most crossovers irritates my neck. Especially in the summer when I am not wearing a sweater or jacket.
I am on a serious search for my “miracle” bag. Something under $150 (maybe way under), something that is not made of leather, which is too heavy, and something without a thick strap.
So far, I have looked at these. And to echo Goldilocks, some are too heavy, some are too small, some have thick straps — none are “just right”.
We’re off on vacation for five weeks. We’ve been planning this road trip for years. We’ll be going to San Antonio and Austin, Marfa, Santa Fe and Taos, up to Golden for Thanksgiving with children and grandchildren, over to LA for time with more children and grandchildren, back to Denver and then the three day drive home, via Kansas City for barbeque and Springfield, Illinois to visit the Lincoln Museum.
Somewhere along the line, I’m going to try on the Kate Spade.
(And I’ve written some posts that will be automatically sent out once a week while I’m away. I will also be writing a travel diary about our trip that will appear when I get back. See you in five weeks!)
